“Hero Packs” is a community service project designed to thank children and youth who have deployed parents for the sacrifices their families have made. Various items, such as cameras, picture frames, stationery, piggy banks, pens, and 4-H teddy bears, are provided. These are packed into 4-H backpacks and distributed.  Over 150 Hero Packs were distributed in 2004, and an additional 500 will be distributed in 2005.
